expansion of 3 regions in Papua. However, he stressed the majority of locals
were in favor. The reason, in order to be served quickly.
"That
there are (who refuse) yes, but according to research results that the results
of various studies, they support the expansion because they want to be served
more quickly. Our efforts to them will continue to carry out socialization,
dialogue, and provide them with a deeper understanding," Ma'ruf said.
"This means that if the area is divided into services,
the coordination is closer with the community. This is the goal to make it
easier to serve the community in order to prosper," said Ma'ruf.
According
to Ma'ruf, if community services are too far away in one province, they will
not be able to fully address the needs of the people.
"And
we are committed, we will prioritize those who will become leaders from Papua.
Therefore, the DPR has carried out various assessments, the RDPU has carried
out various assessments in several areas in Papua, even the governor himself
has approved its preparation," he explained.

groups, traditional leaders and local officials there.
In

in Papua is solely to carry out the mandate of the Special Autonomy Law for
Papua which has been stipulated in July 2021.
"Through
these 3 bills, it is hoped that they can become a concrete legal umbrella in
the framework of governance in the three provinces in the future with the main
aim of accelerating development in Papua, improving the welfare of the Papuan
people, especially indigenous Papuans," said Tito.
"On
behalf of the government, we have approved this bill to be passed into a
